Are you stuck in a rut with your speed? These tips may help you get out of it and help enhance your running speed!
- Focus on proper running form. Keep yourself upright and not slouch. Slouching can hurt your cadence and effect your stride and speed. Foot strike should be the mid part of the foot (no toe running or heel striking)
- Incorporate speed work in your running. To run fast you have to practice running fast. That is where a coach or training plan comes in. So important! Based on your current fitness and goals, workouts geared and to help you build cardiovascular fitness, speed, and endurance.
- Build strength and flexibility. Flexible muscles and joints allow for a more efficient and faster running stride. Strengthening your muscles improves your power, stability, and speed.
4.. Maximize your rest and recovery. This is a hard one. But it is so needed in order for you to get faster. dequate Rest: Ensure you have enough rest days in your training schedule. Overtraining
can lead to injuries and hinder your progress. Listen to your body and allow it to recover.
Quality Sleep: Prioritize sleep for optimal recovery. Quality sleep aids muscle repair, boosts energy levels, and enhances overall performance.
