COACH Amanda

Amanda is the owner of AMP Fitness. She is a certified run coach, personal trainer with over 5 years experience. Amanda started AMP with the goal to inspire men, women, and students to achieve their fitness and athletic goals. Whether you are just starting or need a "restart", Amanda wants to come alongside you to help you grow in your overall fitness and athleticism.

Her personal athletic goals are to get stronger and faster in the marathon distance, tackle more ultramarathons and just enjoy training. Her current PRs are 2:54:20 in the Full Marathon and 1:17:32 in the Half Marathon.

COACH Rob

I have a wonderful wife and we are a blended family with 6 Amazing children. I joined the Army during the troop surge and spent time off and on in Iraq. Being in the Army forced me to exercise so the whole time I was in I didn't really struggle with my weight or body image. I got out of the Army in 2015 and quickly put on a lot of weight, nearly 50lbs and that number was growing every time I stepped on the scale. I initially started running again in 2017 because I was depressed and unhappy with my physical appearance. I started running and I lost a little weight here and there but I was still depressed. This is because I was running for the wrong reasons. I decided to start working with my first coach in early 2020 after failing at "going at it alone" with the structure of being coached I quickly learned to reframe my running as a hobby and a passion. I got faster, quickly, I have won a Half marathon, I have finished in the top 5 in races from the 5k to the Marathon and even Trail races. Most recently I finally achieved my goal of running A Sub 3 hour Marathon, taking 4th overall and finishing 1st in my age group.

My desire to coach comes from a place of knowing that I have been where many are. Starting from scratch and unsure what to do next. I love talking to other runners and helping them reach their goals whatever they might be. Remember I have been where many are, and I've seen what works, and what doesn't. I’m David Ridout, a certified personal trainer with AMP. Exercise and fitness have always been a part of my life. I come from a spot filled competitive and active family. I played football and soccer since I was five years old and now find myself mountain biking and hiking every week. I believe that working out brings out who we are, it challenges us to accomplish hard things. Growing in our fitness goals isn’t just about physical health, fitness benefits us in all areas of life. My heart is to parter with you to achieve our fitness goals together, no matter how big or small they may seem!

Hi! I am Des! After over 2 years as a member of AMP Fitness, I am so excited to join the team as an NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. I've always had an interest in fitness and nutrition but AMP truly made it a lifestyle for me. The community and support is unmatched and I can't wait to help others find the same joy in the same place! I have personally struggled with disordered eating and body dysmorphia. As well as being both overweight and underweight. I know exactly how overwhelming it can feel. My goal is to help people transform their lives in a simple, realistic, and sustainable way. Anyone can do it and I can't wait to work with you!!

I’m Lauren! I’m a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. Fitness and nutrition are a huge passion of mine and have been part of my lifestyle for many years! Fitness is fun and I love helping people find joy in it, while also challenging them to be the best version of themselves. Nutrition is often difficult for people and my goal is to make it easier to understand and help people discover what works for them while being consistent. I want you to feel your best inside and out and nutrition/fitness go hand in hand in accomplishing that. Can’t wait to work with you!

Coach Brian

My name is Brian Kennedy, nicknamed, BK! I am very excited for the opportunity to coach at AMP Fitness. While I have been an active member of AMP since April 2021, intentional fitness has been a part of my lifestyle for several years. I like all things fitness…including the dreaded burpees. From my perspective, working out is a great compliment to your overall wellness plan, which foundationally includes what you put in your body. I am as intentional about how I fuel my body as I am about how I challenge my body through working out. So know this in advance, if you are being coached by me, you are going to put in the work. That’s right, I said it. 🙂 I say that because my sincere desire is to help you achieve your fitness goals…and more importantly, your overall wellness goals. In addition to exercising, I enjoy studying the bible, volunteering at church, learning new things, watching sitcoms, hiking, and morning coffee, especially when I get to enjoy it with my beautiful wife, Brianne. Did I mention, she coaches at AMP Fitness as well? She is a beast!! She keeps me on my toes for sure! She and our two amazing daughters are my motivation. Coach Ashley

Hello! My name is Ashley Young and I am 46 years old. I have been married to my husband for 21 years and together we have 3 children. I began my health and fitness journey about 12 years ago when I picked up running. Running became like therapy for me. I knew I needed something more to help with my running and so I got into CrossFit. I had no idea what I was doing and I felt awkward but stuck with it and I'm so glad that I did because I have stayed injury free training for 2 marathons, 4 half marathons and 16 Ragnar's. I have a passion for correct form with strength training and I know it's because of that and trusting the process that I have stayed healthy and injury free. I am thankful that I get to do what brings me joy and I love to share that joy with others that want to learn to build up their confidence in their strength training and endurance.
